My School's Annual Sport Day

So, I live in Brunei Darussalam and you probably know that it's an extremely small place to live in, right? There are still many things that aren't established in this country, there are still many new things for us to learn, but at least we are proceeding forward and improving. Today, or this morning I could say, was my school's sixth annual sports day. The Anthony Abell College was nice enough to allow us to use their track field for the events. You see, all the field events were carried out in our school and the track events needed to be carried out somewhere else. The AAC field is huge and very clean, but I find it scary because the tracks are wide and seems so far from one point to another.
Today I took part in the 800 meters and 400 meters race, plus a 4x100 race with my best friend Amanda and my new found-friends and teammates Kelly Ngo and Karen Chong. They're quite nice in person. The first event of the day was 800 meters and I competed with Amanda and Wendy Chua, only to land on third place, which was good enough for me because I was dead nervous at the starting line and all I wanted was for this race to end as quickly as possible. I got sixth place at the 400 meters race, which was quite a disapointment to me because I was expecting to get another medal. My team finished in fourth place for the relay event, thanks to Amanda who helped speed up everything.
Before this day came, I thought I would be able to get all three medals but now, reflecting back to this morning, I'm no super athlete. But there's always a next time, right?
I'm disapointed that Red House is not the champion this year, instead it was Yellow House which climbed from third place to champion. There are four houses (teams), Red House, Yellow House, Blue House and Green House. At the begining during the field events, Green House was at the top. Today, it dropped to third place. There are a lot of good runners at Yellow House, so some people were already expecting it to get the champion title anyway.
For the previous five years, Red House was the champion from the start to the finish, always. I was disapointed that we were not the champion house anymore. I know it's alright to give chances to others but no one would purposely make themselves lose to others,right? I could conclude that we lack of training/practice. I never practiced running 800 and 400 meters this year. Well, this goes to the Red House teacher's responsibility.
But this game is finally over, I guess I'll have to look forward to the next track events competition, or a marathon hopefully. I haven't ran any marathons this year because of my pneumonia. Darn. I'm looking forward to one!

Episode Spoilers

So, here are the spoilers of Fate/Zero's episode 14 & 15 (Second-half of season)! While posting this, I get more eager to watch it this Sunday!

Fate/Zero Premieres on My Birthday

This upcoming Sunday is the day when the first episode of Fate/Zero's second-half premieres! I have read the spoilers on a website. Too bad, I completely forgot the address and I can't search it anywhere on google. From the spoiler photos, I can see that all the seven Masters and Servants are present in the episode. There was a scene where Kariya and Tokiomi had a battle. Obviously, we could tell who died. I wondered why Kariya's servant Berserker didn't protect him, maybe he was fighting other servants. I can't tell if Kariya REALLY died, but it looks like it! I've been waiting for a Servant or Master to die...things are really gunna get exciting! Yay :b

Second Term School Days

I won't say the days were really good. Nothing interesting happens and this happens all the time at school. It's really dull, but I won't blame anyone for this. My class teacher, Mr. Philip, has found another idea of catching noisy students and troublemakers, or those who love walking around for no complete reason. About this, hmm, I could say that everyone walks around, talks and plays around and shouts gleefully but, giving three girls to jot down the names of the troublemakers every day won't work, on my perspective.
First, maybe Mr. Philip has a different way of tackling us, well we should all respect other people's decisions. I know that. But maybe he could do some consulting with Teacher Henry on how he coped with a class worst than this year's so well that he doesn't need to scold us everyday.
Asking Eunice, Vanessa and Karen to jot down names is a little waste of their time. But sometimes I find it necessary too. It's amusing to guess who is going to stand up after being called my Mr.Philip for making noises. I'm not gloating or having any other bad intentions, I'm just, as simple as you could say, annoying and a busybody to be precise.
Last year, we read out loud 'Di Zi Gui' every morning before lessons begin. And I'm always late for school and everyone is seated in the classroom, reading out loud like some remedy, and I become the main point of distraction for everybody. 'Di Zi Gui' originated from China hundreds of years ago. It is a book written by a wise ol' man named Kong Zhi. It's contents is spilt into less than 15 chapters, it teaches us kids to be a good child. It sounds 'kiddie' in a way when I use the word 'kid', but I find this teaching method, by reading out loud (even if I don't understand half of what the contents say), as a very good method! My Chinese was terrible last year and I couldn't understand one bit ( or two? *troll*) but I feel calmer whenever I read it.
Even if I hated it once before, doesn't mean I have to hate it forever. Honestly! I sort of miss reading it.

SLP

For English, we have this activity called 'SLP' (Student Learning Progress). It consists of invidual activities that test mainly on your oral skills. Last year, we did storytelling and sharing our favourite storybooks that we have recently read. It was rather fun! Tomorrow, my english teacher, Teacher Marielle, told us that each of us will be given a picture and we will have to make-up a story for it and try our best to read fluently, pronounce the words properly, be creative as possible and etc! I wonder how it is going to turn out like!

Wiagil's Birthday Toast

Last Saturday on the 31st of March, Wiagil invited some of her friends and I to her birthday dinner at Excapade Sushi, one of the best restaurants in town. The dinner started at 7.30 pm, so it was pretty obvious we'd finish our sushi meals later than usual. I ordered Tempura Udon for my main course. Udons are Japanese noodles that are rather large and definitely tasty! Japan is very famous for their tempura, which is something that you deep-fry with a special and secret recipe! That night at Excapade Sushi, I ate deep-fried prawn tempura, the chefs mized the prawns with bananas too! It was a scrumptious meal anyway. Then I ordered a six dollar dessert consisting of ice-cream, ' nata de coco', red beans, keloggs and a sticky, white and circular 'kuih'. Nothing special really happened that day, but everything went quite well, except for something personal that happened to me after I ordered the dessert, because...oh well, I'm not going to say it out loud anyway! Wiagil had rather nice presents. One of our friend, a guy named Wu Jiajin, gave her a thick novel which was Book two. Wiagil had no idea that this novel series ever existed and asked him, "If you gave me book two, how can I read it without reading book one?" Wu Jiajin merely shrugged and told us that he was in a rush while buying Wiagil's gift. Oh,well! :) That night, I also confirmed with my friends that our joker friend Afiyah was admitted to the hospital. According to the others, they phoned her and were told that she had severe vomitings, nose-bleeding, and others. Hopefully she's discharged from the hospital and recovering now. I haven't phoned her to ask about her condition. I might tomorrow if I ever remember!....Mean me. That...was probably all that happened during Wiagil's birthday toast at Excapade Sushi.

This is more like it! Fantasy land! Just, great! They should add the whole of Alagaesia (Inheritance Cycle Map) to it, nevermind, I suppose it WILL come into the picture soon enough! Although I do not know all of these places because I haven't read all the novels that these places orginated from, but I know, well almost, all of them. Whoever did this work with such creativity is a LEGEND to have known all these places and put effort to do this! This is a splendid job! AMAZING! x)
